The Church is not an "event" on Sunday
mornings but is instead the gathered people of God living out His
mission together. We want every member of the church to be a missionary
that embodies and shares the gospel of Jesus Christ.3
Loving relationships are the primary context
for mission. We want to develop and nurture genuine relationships
that express God's truth and grace.4
Followers of Jesus are to be equipped and encouraged
in their faith, love and obedience to God. Whether individually
or in small groups, we want everyone to be discipled as well as
to be discipling others.5
A healthy church is a growing church. We desire
to multiply new disciples, leaders, ministries and churches as God's
Spirit leads. 6
The Bible is the absolute standard of truth for
total life transformation. Our faith and obedience is dependent
on the study and application of God's Word.7
Apart from God we can do nothing, therefore prayer
is fundamental rather than supplemental for Spirit-led ministry.
We want our prayers to be persistent in all circumstances.8
All believers, especially those who lead, are
called to be servants. We depend on God's grace as he uses our weaknesses
to display His greatness.9
There must be agreement in that which is essential
to the faith and grace in that which is not. We want to be a community
of believers that seeks unity and affirms our God-given diversity.
10
True peace is established through love and justice.
We desire to be compassionate toward those who are in need and uphold
that which is right and just according to God's Word.11
God is omnipotent and in Him all things are possible.
We want to be strong and courageous for the sake and honor of His
name.12
