Haiti Team
Psalm 82:3-5
January 12, 2010 – News reports alerted the world of a devastating earthquake in Haiti. A magnitude 7.0 disaster dealt a crippling blow to an island that was already the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and had struggled to merely survive since its inception. Hundreds of thousands of Haitians killed or missing, countless more left homeless, injured, and orphaned – yet through His people, God is visibly at work bringing love, grace, mercy and hope amidst this seemingly insurmountable mounta in of human tragedy and suffering.

On February 18-26, 2011, we had the privilege of partnering with a Haitian-based organization called El Shaddai Ministries International (ESMI), whose holistic approach to serving the Haitian people is based upon their 4 “E’s” of ministry

Evangelism: meeting the spiritual needs of the people
Empathy: meeting the physical needs of the people
Economic: empowerment to be self-sustaining
Education: equipping for church and civic leadership
Our trip was a life changing experience in which we witnessed the Lord's transforming power in Haiti. We had the privilege of ministering to hundreds of orphans and over one hundred pastors as well as prayerfully exploring God's future partnership for our church in Jeremie.
After much prayer, we feel that God is calling us to send a team annually to Jeremie in the month of November. Our next team will be sent from Nov. 10-17, 2012. If you feel called to be a part of this team, please begin the process of assessment by filling out this online APPLICATION.
Even if you don't feel called to go on a team, but still have a burden for Haiti, there are other important ways that you can participate. We would be honored and blessed if you feel led to support us financially or with donations of needed supplies. Having said that, our greater desire is for you to pray and be our intercessors both in preparation for and during our time in Haiti.
