As a follow-up devotional to Pastor Daryl’s sermon from the book of Malachi, I’m reminded that God’s character is unchanging. That He is the same as He was from yesterday to a hundred years ago or even four thousand years ago. God loves His people and that love will never change. This is so encouranging to me.

Malachi 3:6 says, “For I the Lord do not change…”
I find this greatly encouraging in that we can 100% rely on a God that will always be there for us even during times when we feel very distant from Him or anyone else. Throughout the Bible there are countless events that account for God delivering His people and I’m sure there are numerous times where God has demonstrated His loving faithfulness to us personally.
My hope for all of us is that through good times and especially during difficult/emotional times that we are able to continue to hold fast our faith in God and know that God will always wholeheartedly welcome us with open arms even when we feel the most distanced from Him. If you are feeling distant - come back. No matter what the circumstance, God will always love you. God bless.

2 Timothy 2:13 says, “…if we are faithless, He (God) remains faithful – for He cannot deny being who He is.”
