The November, 2018 "Camp Fire" in Paradise, California damaged or destroyed over 14,000 homes, and resulted in 85 fatalities. After a year of initial cleanup, the community is rebuilding both lives and homes. Lifesong Community Church anticipates serving the community of Paradise through multiple years.
Our first service trip will occur March 29 to April 5, 2020. Between now, indicating interest, and departure, we'll learn more of what needs are anticipated as we arrive, and prepare both physically and spiritually to reflect the love of God through our service then.
Join a Rebuilding Team
Rebuilding Paradise is a matter of rebuilding lives as well as homes. Lifesong's participation will be framed by this "People Over Projects" philosophy. This means that construction is not the primary required skill set. In our service trips, we may clear brush, plant landscaping, cook meals, help with team administration, and much more than swinging hammers.
Beyond construction, Lifesong desires to bless Paradise though activities like prayer walks, connecting with residents and listening to their experiences while assisting in their physical needs. The primary prerequisite for joining in a missions trip to Paradise is having a heart for the people there and desiring to walk beside them with the gifting God has particularly provided in you.

Support a Rebuilding Team
Mission service at Lifesong involves both going as workers, and sending as supporters for the workers. Mission Support Groups back at home send Mission Workers to represent Lifesong on the ground in remote locations. MSG participants support those sent by praying, encouraging, and equipping them.
If your heart and gifts center around this kind of support, use the link below to sign up.

Support EFCA's Relief by Giving
The EFCA has responded to natural disasters in Haiti, Staten Island, New Orleans, and around the world, with support for those affected by tragedy. Donations to the Paradise relief allow personnel and supplies to be sent to Paradise in ministry to those returning and rebuilding their community.
The EFCA Crisis Response team has been responding, but continues to need support, since they support the community recover for the years that it takes. Along with the physical restoration, the Crisis Response team is focusing on trauma care – providing support and counseling to those who experienced this disaster firsthand.
